Revenge Candles

The Revenge Candle Starter Guide

Which scent for which chapter — and how to burn it right.

Every Revenge Candle is named for a chapter you're closing. Pick by mood: Burn the Bridge for a clean break, Text Back Never for the nights you need willpower, Unbothered & Expensive for when you're simply done explaining yourself.

First burn matters most. Let the wax melt all the way to the edge (usually 2–3 hours) so it doesn't tunnel. After that, burn up to 4 hours at a time.

Trim the wick to about ¼ inch before every light for a cleaner flame and less soot. Keep it away from drafts, pets and anything flammable, and never leave it burning unattended.

Five Ways to Wear a Satin Slip Dress

Day, night, layered, belted, and the one that turns heads at brunch.

Day: throw an oversized tee or a fitted crewneck sweater over it and add white sneakers. Night: strappy heels, gold jewelry and a sharp red lip.

Layered: a fitted turtleneck underneath makes it cold-weather friendly. Belted: an oversized blazer cinched with a leather belt turns it into a power look.

Brunch: denim jacket, mules and a mini bag. Tip — satin shows everything, so seamless underwear is your best friend.

The 4-Step Clean Girl Skin Routine

Cleanse, tone, glow, protect. Ten minutes, zero fuss.

1. Cleanse with a gentle, non-stripping cleanser — skin should feel soft, not squeaky. 2. Tone or mist to rebalance and prep.

3. Glow: a serum for your main concern (hydration, dullness or texture), then a moisturizer. 4. Protect: broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every morning, even when it's cloudy.

At night, swap SPF for a richer moisturizer. Patch-test anything new on your jawline for a couple of days first.

Packing for a Girls' Trip

Swim, cover-ups and the accessories that do the heavy lifting.

Pack two to three swimsuits in coordinating colors so tops and bottoms mix. One cover-up that doubles as a beach-to-dinner dress saves a whole outfit.

Let accessories do the work: a statement sunglass, gold hoops, a claw clip and one great tote change the whole vibe without extra bulk.

Pre-pack a little pouch with SPF, lip balm, hair ties and blotting papers so you're never digging through your bag.

How to Build a Self-Care Night

Bath soak, silk mask, a candle and absolutely no texting back.

Set the scene: phone on do-not-disturb, lights low, a candle lit. Run a warm (not hot) bath with a soak or salts for 15–20 minutes.

After, apply a mask, then lock in moisture while skin is still slightly damp. Slip into your softest lounge set.

End with something that's only for you — a book, a show, a journal page. The rule: no texting back anyone who doesn't deserve your evening.

Red Lip Rules

Finding your red and making it last through dinner and drinks.

Finding your red: warm undertones tend to glow in orange-reds and brick; cool undertones in blue-reds and berry. When in doubt, a true neutral red flatters most people.

Make it last: exfoliate and balm lips, line the full lip with a matching liner, apply lipstick, blot with tissue, then apply a second layer.

Keep the rest of the face soft — a little mascara and skin that looks like skin — and carry the lipstick for one touch-up after dinner.
